Northeast Wrestling has signed yet another superstar to appear at WrestleFest XIII in Bristol on March 28, GameDay has learned. Wrestling legend Kevin Nash, probably best known as Diesel in the WWF, has committed to appear at the show. Nash, a six-time world heavyweight champion and an 11-time tag team champ, is currently part of the Main Event Mafia in TNA. In addition to being part of the nWo and The Outsiders, Nash's career highlight had to be winning the WWF heavyweight championship in an eight-second victory over Bob Backlund at Madison Square Garden. Nash joins "The Nature Boy" Ric Flair and Jimmy "The Mouth of the South" Hart as big-names signed to appear at Bristol Central High. Velvet Sky Talia Madison, NEW Champion Jason Blade, Eddie Edwards and Ron Zombie will also be on hand. Bristol's favorite troublemaker, Kurt Adonis, is back as well. This time, however, it will be for the final time as the Bristol Central show will be Adonis' last, as an injury is forcing him to retire. Read more about WrestleFest XIII, including exclusive interviews with Flair, Hart, Nash and Adonis, right here in GameDay and in The Bristol Press.** On another note, Tony Dungy is stepping down as head coach of the Indianapolis Colts. The team has scheduled a press conference for today to announce the decision. Jim Caldwell is expected to be named the team's new head coach.
** And, Rickey Henderson (first try) and Jim Rice (on his 15th and final try) were both elected to the Baseball Hall of Fame today.

FINALLY!!!!
It is high time the media got over their ignorance and dislike for Jim Rice and put him where he belongs: In the Hall of Fame.
Congrats to one of the best hitters of the 80s and in Sox history!!! HOORAY for Jim Rice!
You know that Jim Rice would be just another ordinary player in Yankee history right? Probably on par with Roberto Kelly and Steve Balboni. But congrats on getting a Red Sox in the Hall! And, on a nicer note, thanks for the Eastern story.
Sorry but if it takes u 15 tries to get in to the hall of fame u really don't belong there.don't blame the media for not voting him in cause if he put up real hall of fame numbers there would be and uproar if he wasn't voted in the first time.
just another ordinary Yankee, huh. .. I'm speechless. ... the arrogance of your faith in the Yankees still spills right through on this as if you can't fathom a good player even considering playing with another team (especially Red Sox). ... then on the other hand I've never met an aggorant Yankee fan who roots for the Jets .. give it up. You have a real NFL team. They're called the Giants. ... maybe you hit your head watching some silly WWF match at Bristol Eastern high.
First of all, people need to have a sense of humor. I mean, come on ... do you really think Roberto Kelly or Steve Balboni are on par with Rice? Lighten up. (But now that we're on that subject, where would you place Rice among the all-time Yankee greats? I'd be interested to hear your opinion.)
Like the previous poster said, if Rice was such a great player, why did it take him 15 tries to get in? He was simply awesome from 1977-79, but Don Mattingly had a similar career spurt, but probably will never get voted in. But Rice got 76 percent of the vote and he's in - celebrate it. On a side note, Rickey Henderson (another former Yankee) got 94.8 percent on his first try. (Rice got 29.9 percent on his first try.)
And, it'll be Northeast Wrestling at Bristol Central High, just so there's no confusion.
5 very good seasons out of 16 does not make u a hall of famer.hahaha what did he do in the other 11 years.
Well, Brad, I got the joke, but I'll say this, that the media had a very clear and chronicled bias against Jim Rice. And Mattingly comes nowhere close to Rice.
And for the record, to anonymous who apparently can't spell the word 'you', plenty of great NFL and MLB players DON'T get in on the first try. Paul Krause of the Minnesota Vikings comes to mind, who was blackballed because he didn't win and FINALLY got into the hall despite leading the entire NFL all-time in interceptions.
Jim Rice is no less great because it took so long for him to get in. As far as all-time Yankee greats, not sure where he weighs in. I'd have to see the numbers. But for the Red Sox, he's a guy liked by many and the Nation is thrilled for him.
As "u" probably know, Jim Rice was horrible to the media and treated them like garbage, so the bias didn't come out of nowhere. I don't agree with it, because what you do on the field should trump that kind of stuff. But I can see if a guy was borderline (which Rice is), then he won't get the votes because you're apt to see the bad reasons not the good.
Believe it or not, I gave a speech about something similar in college about Albert Belle. He lost the MVP award to Mo Vaughn because the media hated him, even though his stats were better. But Vaughn was the "better" guy and got the award. So it's happened before. At least Rice got what many people thought he deserved in the end - an invite to the Hall.
There should be a lesson in all of this, though: if you're going to act like a jerk, expect some backlash.
It's kind of funny that he is part of the media now. Just doesn't seem right.
hey tiff, didn't know this was english class.rice didn't put up hall numbers for 11 out of 16 years meaning he doesn't belong there. enough said.
Well, Anonymous, he is there. Deal with it. :) And he belongs there. You're ignorant if you think he doesn't.
Brad, that is totally ironic for a number for reasons. He isn't very good. I mean, I hate admitting it but it's true. In any event, the Belle-Vaughn comparison is interesting. I forgot about that.
student becomes teacher.the sentence for a number for reasons is wrong.it should be for a number OF reasons. shame shame shame.read UR work if UR gonna be so critical of others.
