GIANTS STAR WR PLAXICO BURRESS SHOT

Giants wide receiver Plaxico Burress was shot late Friday night in the leg and was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries according to multiple sources. The shooting was apparently accidental, although there isn't any more details at this moment. Burress was already ruled out of Sunday's game against Redskins with a hamstring injury. He wasn't expected to travel with the team before the shooting. It's been a long season for Burress, as he was already suspended for two weeks earlier in the year for skipping practice. As big of a player Burress has been for the Giants, you have to wonder if the time has come for the Giants to let the star go.
