Yankees Season Is Over

I just wanted to say this before the game ends between the Yankees and Red Sox Wednesday night, and I'll make it short and sweet because I have pages to finish here at The Press - the Yankees are officially done. It's over. Forget the postseason, the Yankees are cooked. This team of "stars" was completely lifeless and had no fight in it at all the past two games. Those two games were a joke and the players should be ashamed that they didn't even show up to play. August 27 ... the death of the Yankees. It's a sad, sad day in the Bronx.

You know, as a Red Sox fan, I truly enjoy every moment the Yankees lose and lose horribly...but....I agree, Brad. Where is the fight?? They definitely seemed lifeless both these games.

Red Sox fans can't rest on their laurels, either...this is not a World Series winning team.

Boo hoo. Poor Yankee fan. You're team isn't going to the postseason for the 13th straight year. My heart breaks for you. Now, you're getting a dose of reality that the rest of the MLB teams endure all the time. .... Actually, this is a long time coming. I'm amazed that the streak has lasted this long with some of the old pitching that this team has had. I'm stunned at the season Mussina has had. I thought he was done but he has done a nice job. The real culprit this year has been the lack of hitting, which is surprising but some of the core Yankees are getting older.
